    Yes try your local library, I’m not joking. I saw it on the web site for the Brockton, Ma Lib. I don’t know how though.

    i just discovered this a couple of days ago myself. if you have a library card, go on your local library’s site, find a link for ‘electronic resources’ or ‘external databases’. it depends on the library, but you might get a database for audiobooks.
    my library just links to Project Gutenberg, a huge library of books in the public domain– they have some on audio that can be downloaded in the iTunes file format.
    i think occasionally has freebies on their site too.
    you’ll probably get an answer to use bittorrent to find audiobooks, but i’ve never tried that.
