Audiobooks on CD or download?

Published by Administrator at July 1st, 2007
brooke asked:

Should I download audiobooks from places like audible.com and itunes or just buy them already on CDs at amazon.com or the local bookstores? Am I correct that with audible.com you pay a monthly subscription on top of each book you buy? Which method would be better on my wallet? ~Thanks

Buy them online. CDs stay in good condition for an average of three years. If you buy audiobooks online, you’d always have a back-up copy and you could always burn extra copies of them onto CDs.

Downloading is almost always cheaper and if you want a hard copy burn your own disc.

I would also suggest you consider your internet connection. If you have problems frequently with your connection I would think about it before I decided to purchase downloads.
