Sarah asked:

What exactly are audiobooks? Oh, and where can you get them? What kind of books can you get (like are they mostly adult, or are there teens/childrens)?

You can get many books on cassette or CD. Check your public library. Harry Potter audio books are very well done.

Well, i have purchased a few audio books. I downloaded 6 audio books directly as MP3 files. They are almost always cheaper this way than if you buy them in paper form.

I have also purchased books on Cassette tape (old-fashioned) and CD too.

I like audio books because you can do other things at the same time, such as walking, driving, excersizing, using the computer, etc. An ipod can probably fit 20 full length un-abridged books on it, maybe even more.
A full length book with 500 pages is probably about 6 hours long.
I still like real books if the material has a lot of pictures, or charts and graphs. This type of stuff can not be put into words.

Audiobooks started out as books on tape for the blind. You can buy them on tape, and also on cd. I buy quite a few, for listening while driving. The best sites for finding them are eBay, Half.com, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc.
There are thousands ot titles, in every genre, for all ages.
